The Senator Walter Dudycz Room highlights the 18 year political career of
retired Illinois Senator. Senator Dudycz and his wife, Oksana, organized the new
display personally and generously donated his desk, chair, flags and awards and
photos. Thanks to the Senator’s efforts, the State of Illinois gave the Ukrainian
National Museum $500,000 for its expansion in 1999. We are proud to have
American-Ukrainians who have attained much personal success and are still
committed to preserving their Ukrainian heritage.
