UNMProkopiv (32 of 38)The Museum’s archives and library boast more than 100,000 items – books,  photographs, documents, the personal correspondence of noted individuals, playbills, posters, flyers, and the like, all documenting the life, history, and cultural legacy of the Ukrainian people. Among the Museum’s archives are an extensive numismatic and philatelic collections.

Our archives are regularly utilized by historians, writers, students, genealogists, and the media with a wide range of research needs and interests. It houses a wide-ranging collection of unpublished archival records which date from the early twentieth century to the present and document not only the people who created them, but also the broader social, political, and economic history of the Chicago area.
