The Ukrainian National Museum mourns the loss of
Jaroslaw Samycia
Longtime member of the Ukrainian National Museum Board of Directors, Officers, frequent Sunday volunteer and Veteran of the U.S. Army. Jaroslaw Samycia passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
Husband to the late Vera and father to Markian and Dr. Christina and granddaughter to Kataryna, Sam, as he was loving called by his late wife and friends, enjoyed giving tours and sharing his life experiences. He never complained, was always smiling, joyful and telling stories. Now he has joined his wife Vera in everlasting peace.
We extend our condolences to Sam’s children Markian and Dr. Christina and their families.
Jaroslaw will be buried at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make donations to the Ukrainian National Museum or any Veteran’s charity.
