UNM offers unpaid seasonal internship opportunities. As an intern, you can expect to gain practical knowledge in museum work including marketing and collection management. Course credit can be arranged.
Background in one of the following fields is preferred, but other relevant skills and experience are welcome.

Current Open Internships
Part-time Unpaid Internship
• Fall 2025
• Part-time Unpaid Internship
• At the Museum: Saturday, Sunday
• Hours: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
• Greet visitors and provide a welcoming presence at the Museum front desk on
Saturdays and Sundays.
• Provide information about current exhibits, hours, and events.
• Assist with visitor sign-ins, ticketing, and gift shop transactions.
• Support museum staff during public events and exhibit openings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front lobby area.
Qualifications
• Interest in Ukrainian culture, history, and museums.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliability and availability on weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
• Punctual, professional, and courteous demeanor.
• Basic computer skills; previous customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
• Welcome guests and answer questions about the museum and exhibits.
• Help manage guest lists, check-ins and RSVPs for upcoming events.
• Maintain museum appearance and ensure front desk materials are current.
• Assist in preparing mailings, signage, and informational packets.
Qualifications
• Availability on weekdays (Wednesday to Friday).
• Enthusiasm for Ukrainian culture and public-facing work.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently and with small teams.
• Good at talking with different types of people and a willingness to improve
